Again, what's the point of such an epic fight scene if it isn't absurdly brutal? Yahiko's body is already dead and feels no pain, so of course it's believable that he'd be able to get back up again. Some people complain it was over exaggerated, but what's the point of having an epic fight if you don't over exaggerate it? Isn't that what you want from a hyped up fight scene? Why wouldn't you want to see a guy moving so fast or getting hit with such force that his body appears to turn to mush against just the pressure of the air? Some people also complain that at times it was so brutal that it became funny. The intentional distortion looked to me like a really good way of communicating insane speed and brutal impacts. It really emphasized the incredible power of both fighters to see them moving in such weird ways. I thought it was some of the most impressive animation I'd ever seen. Frankly I'm shocked that people didn't like the style. I realize this is a really old topic now, but I'm really far behind and just watched the fight today, and I really want to talk about it.
